The Colours

About Flame Mosaic
Flame is built on a simple idea, carefully repeated. What begins as a modest geometric motif gradually develops into a richly textured surface, where proportion and rhythm do far more than colour alone.
Designed around the elongated format of Milano’s 20 × 10 mm glass mosaic, the pattern introduces a subtle vertical rhythm that recalls woven fibres, hand cut timber veneers and softly striated stone. It is geometric, yet never rigid. Instead, the repeating motif creates a visual pulse that gives the surface texture and depth while preserving an overall sense of calm.
There is an honesty to Flame that feels particularly contemporary. Rather than decorating a room, it enriches the architecture itself. The pattern sits comfortably alongside natural materials, allowing timber, terrazzo, brushed metals and stone to retain their own character while adding another layer of quiet detail. It has enough presence to define a space, yet enough restraint to remain relevant for years to come.
The narrow proportions of the individual glass mosaics contribute significantly to this effect. Their glossy finish catches light with subtle variation, softening the linear composition and introducing gentle movement across the surface. As the eye travels, the pattern slowly reveals itself, rewarding closer inspection rather than demanding immediate attention.
Flame works beautifully across complete walls where its continuous rhythm creates an immersive backdrop. In bathrooms and kitchens it introduces warmth without visual weight, while in hospitality, retail and wellness interiors it provides an elegant architectural skin that enhances the surrounding materials. Equally, the pattern lends itself to smaller moments, from shower enclosures and splashbacks to feature walls and reception counters, where its measured geometry brings focus without dominating the scheme.
Like many of the strongest architectural details, Flame reveals its quality through consistency rather than excess. Every element has a purpose. Every line contributes to the overall composition. The result is a pattern that feels both contemporary and familiar, balancing graphic precision with material warmth.
Flame demonstrates how a simple geometric idea can transform a surface through proportion, repetition and carefully considered colour. It is quietly expressive, deeply versatile and designed to become part of the architecture rather than simply sit upon it.
