Stitch

Stitch porcelain tile embodies the essence of familiar fabric patterns and marries these with modern porcelain tile production. Taking elements from architecture, intricate stone carving and a love of brutal concrete forms, Stitch uses these entirely or in part as motifs or as influence in the motif arrangements.

As a result, each of the patterns creates its own rhythm constructed with the family of twelve shapes. Bold geometric patterns describe their design roots from the high-rises and housing of the seventies. In line rhythms with no variations, straight to the point and beautifully linear.

In contrast, quarter round curves bring a softer geometry into the mix. This creates gentle rolling repeats, transporting the eye on an undulating journey. These pieces bring a wonderful contrast against the brutal angles and give Stitch its Art Deco edge.

The grout lines created by Stitch are as important as the shapes they surround. With this in mind, introducing colour into the space between the tile pieces is essential to the success and completeness of each pattern. Where plain tiles are chosen, the grout join becomes the pattern so be as bold and bright as you dare.
