Frame is an exercise in proportion. Built from little more than repeated rectangles, the pattern demonstrates how simple geometry can produce a surface with remarkable depth, rhythm and clarity.
The design explores the graphic potential of Milano’s 20 × 10 mm glass mosaic by arranging each piece into a measured sequence of outlined forms. Individual frames appear, dissolve and reform across the surface, creating a composition that feels ordered without becoming predictable. There is a subtle play between positive and negative space, allowing the pattern to shift gently as the eye moves across the wall. The result feels architectural rather than decorative, bringing structure without unnecessary complexity.
Its appeal lies in its versatility. Frame can create a calm backdrop in a residential bathroom or kitchen, where its measured rhythm adds texture without overwhelming surrounding materials. Equally, it has the confidence to occupy larger commercial settings. Across restaurant interiors, hotel bathrooms, wellness spaces or retail environments, the repeating geometry delivers consistency, scale and quiet character.
The elongated format of the Milano mosaic gives the composition a refined grain that would be difficult to achieve with larger modules. Combined with the glossy glass surface, the pattern gains another level of richness.
