The Material
Bianco Inglese explores what happens when one part of terrazzo becomes deliberately quiet. Across the collection, the aggregate remains within the warm white tones of Bianco Perlino marble, creating a gentle consistency from one surface to the next. Against this calm background, the cement ground takes responsibility for colour.
It is a simple decision, but one that changes the character of the terrazzo considerably. Traditional compositions often rely on contrasting aggregates to create movement and complexity. Here, the relationship feels more measured. The pale marble chips sit comfortably within each colour, allowing their natural variation to remain visible without competing for attention.
This restraint gives Bianco Inglese its sense of serenity. Colour can still move from soft neutrals into greens, blues and deeper tones, but the shared aggregate keeps the collection connected. There is always something familiar running through it, even when the surrounding colour changes.
Bianco Perlino also brings warmth where a colder white might feel too sharp. Its creamy mineral tones soften stronger cement colours and sit naturally within quieter ones. Look closely and the marble retains all the small irregularities expected from natural stone. Step away and those individual fragments gather into a much more calm field.
The collection is therefore less about contrast than balance. The aggregate does not need to announce itself, and colour does not have to fight for attention. Each has a clearly defined role, which gives the terrazzo an unusual composure.
That idea carries across all eight colours. Some feel gentle and atmospheric, while others have considerably more depth, yet the underlying relationship remains unchanged. Bianco Inglese uses consistency not to make every surface feel the same, but to give very different colours a common character.
