The Material
Siena is built around the warmth of Giallo Siena marble. Its yellow toned aggregate runs throughout the collection, bringing a gentle glow to every colour without becoming overly bright. The natural character of the stone softens that warmth, with variations of ochre and muted gold creating a more nuanced surface.
The palette stays close to the landscape. Pale vegetal shades such as Pampas sit alongside sand, straw and muted mineral tones, before moving towards the richer depths of clay and earth. Together they recall colours that seem familiar without necessarily belonging to one particular place. Dry grasses, dusty paths, sun warmed stone and soil all seem to find their way into the collection.
Giallo Siena holds these colours together particularly well. Its natural variation moves between cream, ochre and warmer golden notes, creating a more complex relationship with the cement ground than a uniform yellow could achieve. Some fragments stand forward while others almost disappear, allowing the surface to shift gently between colour and stone.
