Built from a repeated angled gesture, Chevron creates a quiet sense of momentum that carries effortlessly across the surface. There is no obvious beginning or end. Instead, each small movement leads naturally to the next, creating a rhythm that feels continuous rather than repetitive.

Perhaps that explains why the chevron has appeared throughout so many different design traditions. It is one of those rare motifs that feels instinctive. We recognise its movement before we notice its shape. Long before it became a decorative device, it appeared in weaving, brickwork and timber construction, where repeated angled forms brought both order and direction.

This interpretation strips the idea back to its essentials. Tiny circular tesserae build each angled line with remarkable restraint, softening the geometry until it feels almost woven. The result sits somewhere between textile and architecture, carrying the warmth of one and the structure of the other.

That balance gives Chevron its distinctive character. It introduces movement without noise, texture without weight, and repetition without monotony. Across a larger surface, the pattern never feels static. Instead, it gently shifts as you move through a space, inviting the eye to travel while allowing the surrounding architecture to remain in control.
