About Code Mosaic

Code looks to digital communication, where complex information is reduced to sequences, signals and systems. Its starting point is the visual language of data, but the pattern moves beyond the familiar simplicity of binary.

There is something intriguing about information when its meaning is removed. A sequence of marks can appear highly organised while remaining completely unreadable. We recognise that a system is at work, even when we cannot decipher what it is saying. Code plays with this gap between order and understanding.

Rhythmic columns of colour suggest information travelling through the design. Some sequences repeat, others appear to change or interrupt the flow. The effect sits somewhere between a message and an abstract composition, with colour taking the place of language.

This connection between coding and pattern is not as distant as it first appears. Both depend on rules, repetition and variation. A limited set of elements can generate enormous complexity simply by changing their sequence. Textiles have worked this way for centuries; digital systems simply gave the principle a different vocabulary.

Code brings those worlds together. It imagines digital information not as an invisible exchange, but as something visual: ordered, colourful and just beyond translation.
