About Strike Mosaic

Strike takes its name from the brief action of drawing a match across the side of its box. The movement leaves a diagonal scar, repeated each time another match is lit.

Those marks accumulate without any intention to create a pattern. Some run cleanly across the surface, while others stop abruptly or cross an earlier strike. Gradually, the box records its own use.

That accidental quality became the idea behind Strike. A regular stripe provides the order, while another set of marks cuts across it. They feel less planned, closer to traces left through action.

There is a rawness to a struck line that contrasts with the precision of a conventional stripe. One belongs to repetition and control, while the other records a fleeting gesture.

Strike brings the two together, allowing a small moment of disruption to leave its mark.
