About Connection Triangle
A stitch, a network, a zigzag. Triangle can suggest all of these, which feels slightly at odds with its reputation for structural certainty.
The triangle is one of the most dependable shapes in architecture and engineering. Once its sides connect, the geometry resists distortion. That basic principle appears everywhere, from roof trusses and bridges to towers and temporary structures.
Yet geometry does not have to retain the character of its original purpose. Take the triangle away from construction and repetition can make it feel unexpectedly light.
That was the thought behind Triangle. I liked using a shape associated with strength to create something closer to a drawn line. It can suggest stitching or a loose network, rather than engineering.
There is still a sense of structure underneath, but it no longer feels heavy or particularly fixed. The same geometry that gives buildings stability can take on a completely different character through pattern.
