About Fleur Mosaic
Fleur comes from the long tradition of turning flowers into pattern. Once simplified and repeated, botanical forms can move remarkably easily between textiles, stonework, ceramics and decorative arts. The flower becomes less about nature and more about ornament.
Gold feels particularly at home within that history. Gilded floral decoration appears across centuries of interiors, furniture and decorative objects. Here, however, the small mosaic format gives that familiar combination a more graphic character.
There is also a lovely contrast between the two materials. Stone brings natural variation, while gold introduces a brighter, more deliberate note. Together, they give Fleur a richness that feels appropriate to its decorative origins without becoming overly formal.
That balance is important to the pattern. Fleur can carry the familiarity of traditional floral ornament while remaining distinctly contemporary. Gold simply allows its decorative side a little more freedom.
