Quad

Quad looks back to Roman decorative floors, where geometry provided the framework for remarkably elaborate compositions. Squares, borders and divisions created order, but within them there was plenty of freedom for pattern and ornament.
That balance still feels remarkably fresh. The Romans understood that decoration did not need to choose between discipline and exuberance. A strong underlying structure could actually make the more decorative moments feel much more free.

Gold brings another part of that world into Quad. Precious materials were used to mark status and importance throughout Roman architecture and decorative arts. Alongside marble, gold feels less like an addition and more like a continuation of that material confidence.

Quad remembers the spirit of those floors rather than trying to recreate one. The pleasure remains in the same old balance: enough order to hold everything together, with plenty happening in between.
