About Star Gold Mosaic

Star owes much of its character to the woven geometry of Kilim rugs. Their patterns grow from the structure of weaving itself, with stepped lines and repeated shapes creating designs that feel ordered without becoming rigid.

Moving that idea into stone already creates a lovely shift. Something associated with cloth, softness and portability suddenly becomes permanent. Precious metal takes the translation a little further, introducing a material with its own long history in textiles and decorative arts.

Gold thread has appeared in woven and embroidered fabrics for centuries, bringing flashes of richness into otherwise familiar patterns. Within Star, that connection feels particularly natural. The metal becomes part of the pattern rather than simply a precious addition.

Stone keeps everything grounded, with its variations loosening the geometry in much the same way weaving once did. Gold brings a brighter note, but the original textile reference remains close at hand.

Star may have travelled a long way from the Kilim rug, but it retains something of that woven spirit. In stone and gold, an old textile language simply finds another way to continue.
